“I ask you (Lamido) this morning, say wetin dey happen for Naija politics now, e for fit happen when we still dey power? You say no. And na true,” Amaechi talk. “We for don challenge the government, challenge the president. That na how we dey run things that time. We no dey fear, we dey ready to shake table.”
Amaechi wey bin be chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) during Lamido second term, talk say that time na serious politics dem dey play — full of gbas gbos and strong belief. Him say even though dem be padi, dem still get small wahala sometimes.
“We dey close for office, but we quarrel well well too,” he yarn. “I mistake think say Lamido stubborn reach my level. So I dey always follow am when I wan make radical move.”
Amaechi come remind people how dem split from President Goodluck Jonathan back then. Na that move make am and some others join the new APC that time, while Lamido still dey with opposition and later waka enter SDP. He say dem time na real political warrior season, where person no dey fear executive power.
