Popular Nigerian Afrobeat star David Adeleke, famously known as Davido, has stirred online reactions after a lighthearted moment with a female fan who asked him to follow her on Instagram.


In a video making the rounds on social media, the excited fan approached the singer and boldly said, "I need you to follow me on Instagram." Without hesitation, Davido burst into laughter and responded, “Sorry, my wife will kill me.”


When the fan insisted, claiming his wife wouldn’t mind, Davido doubled down with a cheeky smile: “Haha, no o! I only follow my wife. I can’t follow anyone else.”


The clip has since gone viral, earning Davido praise across social media platforms for his public display of commitment to his wife, Chioma Avril Rowland.

Their union became even more special after they welcomed a set of twins in 2023 a joyous moment that came after the heartbreaking loss of their first son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, who tragically passed away in a drowning incident in October 2020.
