Napoli have rejected Galatasaray’s €75 million offer, which matches Osimhen’s official release clause.
The development was revealed by Nigerian broadcast journalist Onyebuchi Onokala, popularly known as Buchi Laba, in a post on X. According to him, the Serie A champions turned down Galatasaray’s third bid — worth €75m — for the 26-year-old striker.
He wrote in the early hours of Thursday:
“Napoli officially turns down Galatasaray’s €75m 3rd offer for Victor Osimhen. The official release clause figure.”
Buchi Laba further claimed that Napoli are deliberately stalling the deal, as they prefer to sell Osimhen to Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal.
However, Osimhen has reportedly made it clear he has no interest in joining Al Hilal and only wants a permanent move to Galatasaray.
The Super Eagles star has also informed Napoli he will not report for pre-season training this month, as he no longer wishes to play under new manager Antonio Conte.
