Black Market Dollar (USD) To Naira (NGN) Exchange Rate

 


The exchange rate between the United States dollar and the Nigerian naira continued to fluctuate on Monday, August 25, 2025, at both the parallel (black) market and the official window.


At the Lagos Parallel Market (Black Market), Bureau De Change (BDC) operators disclosed that the dollar was bought at ₦1,555 and sold at ₦1,547.


Meanwhile, at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) official window, the naira traded between ₦1,535 and ₦1,537 per dollar.

It is important to note that the Central Bank of Nigeria does not recognize the parallel market (black market) and has consistently directed individuals or businesses in need of foreign exchange to use official banking channels.


Exchange rates in the black market are often determined by demand and supply pressures, and prices may differ depending on location and individual dealers.
