The Prodigal Priest: Theo Njoku's Shameful Service to Politicians Against the People

Fr. Theo Njoku, your recent write-up against Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Obimma (Ebube Muonso Nso) is not just disappointing—it is shameful. You have stooped so low to allow Governor Soludo and his cohorts use you as a political errand boy against a priest whose only “crime” is speaking the truth and defending the poor.

If as a priest you now mock divine healing, then you should return to the seminary and re-learn the very foundations of Scripture. The Bible is crystal clear about the power of God to heal (Mark 16:17-18). For you to ridicule healing is to ridicule Christ Himself, the Great Healer. That alone exposes your lack of spiritual depth.

Even more disgraceful is your alliance with those fighting against the widow of late Hon. Azuka, a man slaughtered in cold blood while this government looked the other way. Instead of showing compassion, you joined in silencing justice. Tell me, Fr Theo Njoku, what is left of your priesthood without mercy, without conscience, without love? “Woe to you, shepherds who feed yourselves! Should not shepherds feed the flock?” (Ezekiel 34:2).

Fr. Obimma has never begged for political contracts, neither has he dined at the table of corruption. He has only lifted his voice for the voiceless, confronted bad leadership, and refused to be cowed. That is why he is hated by your paymasters but loved by the masses. And make no mistake: the more Soludo and his hired writers attack him, the more God glorifies him. Grace cannot be silenced.

But you, Fr. Theo Njoku, have chosen the path of Judas. You traded conscience for political crumbs. You forgot your sacred vows and allowed yourself to become a willing tool in the hands of desperate politicians.

History will remember you, not as a priest of courage, but as one who betrayed the truth at the altar of political favor. And history will also remember Fr. Obimma as a fearless prophet who stood when others bowed.
