Bago Don Extend Maternity Leave for Niger State Women to 6 Months


Niger State Governor, Mohammed Bago, don yan say women wey dey work for the state go dey enjoy six months maternity leave now, instead of the usual three months. E talk say this one go help dem take better care of their pikin and also rest well.

Gov Bago drop this update during the weekly executive council meeting wey happen for Government House chamber, Minna. E still announce other better plans wey go favour people for the state.

According to am, the longer maternity leave go make women come back stronger and more productive after dem don rest finish. E don order the Head of Service, Abubakar Idris, make e arrange how dem go take implement this new policy well.

“In line with how dem dey do am for other better countries, this leave na to protect mama and pikin health. Now, women go fit stay six months for house to nurse their pikin and take care of demself,” na so Bago yan.

After the meeting, Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Binta Mamman, still talk say the government don approve other better moves to make life sweet for people wey dey Niger State.

One of the big decisions na say the governor don release N1.3 billion to buy 23,000 chairs for primary and secondary schools for the state.

Binta Mamman talk say the chairs na mainly for pikin dem wey dey attend public schools, make dem no dey suffer again.

Permanent Secretary for Ministry of Trade and Investment, Hamza Bello, also yan on top other plans wey the state government get for front.
