Northerners in Kano Stage Peaceful Protest, Beg Peter Obi to Run for Presidency in 2027 [Video]

A video on social media has revealed Northerners staging a peaceful protest, calling on Peter Obi to contest the 2027 presidential election.

The protest took place in Kano state. The protesters lamented the severe hunger they have been experiencing under the Tinubu-led government.

As they could not endure the hunger they resorted to a protest with Peter Obi’s banner pleading with him to contest.

The Tinubu-led government have been marked with suffering, hunger, hardship and rising inflation.

Nigeria is grappling with its worst cost-of-living crisis in nearly 30 years – and Tinubu, who was praised as a “renewer of hope” just last year, is partially responsible.

With deepened poverty and frustration over government inaction leading to public outrage and protests, the country is – once again – at an inflection point. And it needs a stark policy turnaround to face its economic woes.

Nigerians have barely witnessed anything good since the inauguration of Tinubu into office in May 2023.
